Rogger Montti, writing for Search Engine Journal, reports that Hostinger has rolled out a new feature designed to make WordPress websites “Agentic Web” ready. The move highlights how hosting companies are beginning to prepare for a future where AI agents, not just humans, browse, compare, and interact with online content.
Montti explains that the Agentic Web represents a shift from human-centered browsing to AI-agent-driven interactions. Like the earlier push for mobile-friendly sites, this transition suggests that websites must adapt to remain visible and valuable in an AI-first environment.
Hostinger’s answer is Web2Agent, a one-click tool that automatically optimizes a WordPress site (or sites built on Hostinger’s proprietary builder) for discovery and use by AI agents. According to Montti’s reporting, the feature currently integrates best with Claude, Cursor, and other tools using the MCP protocol, with compatibility for ChatGPT, Gemini, and additional AI platforms on the roadmap.
Importantly, Web2Agent is designed to respect existing web standards like robots.txt and the emerging LLMs.txt, signaling that Hostinger wants AI-readiness to coexist with responsible web practices.
By spotlighting this feature, Montti frames Hostinger’s effort as an early step in positioning WordPress websites for the agent-driven internet. It’s an experiment today, but it may soon become necessary as AI agents increasingly shape how consumers research products, plan trips, and make purchasing decisions.
